Gotham is a way different team. Much less cohesion than they use to have, teamwork down. They are tryin to play a harder hitting game, and they just aren't that good at it. Formula used to be three strong in back, a losey floater forward, get jammer by quick with lead hold other jammer for a bit, goth jammer in for a few then call it. 2,3,4 point to zero runs that slowly added up to 100 point spreads. These little runs also allowed you to have a two jammer rotation, as the distance from lead to scoring was typically 1.5 to 1.75 laps. They never tired. They were tired last night. They played as they did last night agaist Texas, and they almost lost that one.

I really found Boston's game to be the most interesting, as a mixture of fast with slow, and always solid teamwork. Good lord, Pittsburg was slow game to a fault.

Glade to see Pitts on top for their home town show.

2 jammer rotation did not work for them last night. Suzy hot rod got stuck in the pack towards the end. That was a completely defensive game 2 hard on any jammer to jam every other one when it takes 1 minute just to get through the initial pass.

Yeah philly!!

I'm thrilled for Philly. I can only imagine being a fan of the league hosting Nationals and having your team actually playing in it. Add to that coming in ranked 1st in the division, by beating a team that was not only last years Champs, but has not lost a game since Sept. '07!

Damn, that grass looks mighty green from where I'm sit'n.

I really fell in love with Charm City this weekend. They played their hearts out in a couple of really tough bouts, paid in flesh and missed the cut. Real tough for such a smart team that ended up losing to two teams they had beat earlier this year...

Funny, CCRG is who I came away as a fan of. Always nice to see an upset, but very distraught about one jammer ref in their last bout. First period their jammer went to the box repeatedly, second boston's. That's reffing, not playing...
